NORSEMAN JUNIOR HOOPERS BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Coach Matt Lockhart believes in building a program at the High School level and that starts with the future North players in the community.  Coach Lockhart will team up with Coach Steve Benard (Parcells Middle School and Midwest Athletics President) to bring a large knowledge base of teaching that has been missing at the younger age groups with the parent coach.

 

 

Facility:                  Grosse Pointe North High School

Who:                      Boys/Girls Grades 3rd - 6th

Time:                     Sundays:  Two hour block between 4:00pm and 7:00pm

Cost:                      $119 per player (Includes Official Game Jersey)

When:                    December 6, 13, January 10, 17, 24, 31st

Highlights of the Program:

 

  • Each week from 4:00pm – 5:00pm all players will go through the Norseman Training Camp. The camp will cover the correct fundamentals of the game and prepare all players for their future teams.

 

  • Coach Lockhart & Coach Benard will oversee the training with help from the North Boys Varsity team. This will be a great opportunity for the young players to get to know the Varsity team.

 

  • Players will be divided in to teams from 5:00pm to 5:30pm for a practice with their coach(North Varsity players will coach and referee the games)

 

  • Games then will be played on the half hour until we complete at 7:00pm. Each player will receive two hours of basketball each Sunday……

 

SANCTIONED AAU DETROIT LEAGUES

 

Ten high quality, consistently competitive games for your team with less travel time. MWA Basketball will be hosting a league with a great young mix of the best urban and suburban teams in Southeastern Michigan.

 

 

Detroit Spring League-(AAU Sanctioned)

Sunday afternoons-April 18th to June 6th

Boys/Girls: 11U/12U/13U/14U/15U/16U/17U

Cost: $650 per team(Includes practice time)

 

Detroit Summer League-(AAU Sanctioned)

Boys Monday Nights-July 12th to August 9th/Girls Tuesday Nights-July 13th to August 10th

League Information:

Midwest Athletics will bring the same things you’ve come to expect from our tournaments to league play beginning October 3rd. Saturday afternoon games that will provide you with two games every week. 8-regular season games with 2- playoff games.
