Age Qualifiers:

September 1, 2010 shall be the determining date for the age of the competitor and shall hold true for Friendship tournaments, Super Regional, District  and National Championships.

 

For example, an athlete born, September 15, 1992, would be age eligible to play in the 16U/10th Grade Division in 2010.  If the same athlete is a 9th Grade student as of March 1, 2010, he would be eligible to play 15U/9th Grade as a Grade Exception.

 

Tournament Rules:

(MHSAA Rules apply, except for the following:)

  1. Games will consist of two, 20-minute running halves.
     

  2. The clock will stop the last minute of each half.
     

  3. Overtime is 2 minutes of “running clock” play. Each team will begin with a jump ball. Overtime will continue with 2-minute sessions until there is a winner.
     

  4. Two full (one-minute) time outs and two 30-second time outs are allowed per game. Time outs do carry over per half but not for overtime.
     

  5. One full time out per overtime session.
     

  6. Warm-up time before each game will be 3-5 minutes.
     

  7. Half time will be 3 minutes long.
     

  8. Game time is forfeit time with 4 players required to begin a game.
     

  9. Games will consist of two, 20-minute running halves.
     

  10. Full court press is not allowed after a twenty point lead has been established. If the lead goes back to twenty points then pressing is allowed.
     

  11. If the point spread is twenty or more during the last 2 minutes of the second half, the clock will not stop.
     

  12. Teams must all have the same color jersey with number.
     

  13. A player or coach receiving 2 technical fouls in a game will e ejected from the current game.
     

  14. Coaches will oversee their parent's and player's sportsmanship, and will remove the parent at the request of the referees or BBC management. Midwest Athletics will not tolerate any unsportsmanship-like conduct from anybody for any reason.
